thursday challenge: vision

originally titled 'intimacy'

I know it's not trying that hard but it kind of fits in with the this week's theme at thursday challenge.

I was reminiscing over an old pentax camera I have which, sadly, no longer works and I took this through its viewfinder using my trusty ixus400. the camera it's looking through is an me super SLR with a pentax 100mm telephoto. the image is of the ash trees i see whenever i look out the front window.

I hope it gets a better response than 'photo friday'. any reaction is welcome - just tell me you hate it! :o)

Well, I don't hate it!:)

Seems you really wanted a comment, so I thought I'd give you a little critique

I like the fact that it has a real artsy quality, you're giving us a double read with the foreground and background. You have two nicely contrasted subjects: The framing and what's inside.

Sometimes it helps to find a way to make your images more specific and more personal for them to be even stronger. For example: by finding a window or tree that is more unique. I really had that problem with this subject, I ended up with just two eyes that mean a lot to me but I don't know if anyone else can read that into it.

Nice photo!

thank you, clarity. :o)

i thought it was interesting - yes artsy, different. but probably too personal for many.

I like it, I particularly like the railing or gutter or whatever human construct is darkening the left side of the image.

I don't hate it either...

To me it either: sneaky peeking or scary dungeon, that darkness is very un settling to moi... but take that with a handful of salt... words of a Tart!

I actually did the basic self-portrait eyeball, easy cheesy way vs your creative expression!

Smooch,
The Tart

My Vote goes to 'The Pea Soup Fiasco' - just because!

Actually i've actually had a pea soup fiasco but you really dont want to hear it...all to do with a family holiday, home alone, a large party and nothing to eat but a huge carton of pea soup which was ruined by someone dropping a contact lens in it..christ u cant make this stuff up:-/

result lots of drugs and drunks and a crash diet

this is odd..but i've just checked P.Soup and his is vair good. I'm not sure what clarity is on about..the other pics are fine but this one is a bit of a nothingness...i dont get 'any' intimacy and dont see the connection. Err.the previous photo is excellent though...lissen mate..u cant win em all!

ok i get it..'vision' not 'intimacy'..thats sad. I thought pea soup had walked away with the intimacy theme but its obvious these ppl are just clicking away randomly at anything.

its in with a shout but it won't win..i should start takin pics i could do miles better.
